Mark is the founder of Modern Carnivore. Growing up in Minnesota he lived for everything outdoors. From cross-country skiing and camping to hunting, fishing and foraging. His father started him and his brothers off at a young age being outside in all seasons. The focus was most often about getting wild food. Mark considers himself an outdoors generalist who can provide guidance on how to get started in your outdoors journey regardless of focus. As you refine your interests into specific methods or species of game on which you'd like to focus Mark will work with you to build a pathway that includes the right resources and people.
