New Hunters at Grouse Camp 2020 – Part 1
I recently attended Grouse Camp 2020 in Eagle River, Wisconsin and got to talk with several new hunters. This is the second year that the Ruffed Grouse Society has held this event, and even though the heavens opened with a deluge of rain on Saturday evening a wonderful time was had by all. In this first set of interviews I talk with Simon Tiedge who is originally from Germany, and started hunting two years ago after moving to Minnesota. I also talked with Gino and Sarah Venditti who met in Pittsburgh and then got married after Gino served Sarah wild elk for the first time. They now live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and live an active outdoor lifestyle. The last interview is with Britton Seivert and John Wiesinger. John is Britton’s father-in-law and he didn’t start hunting until the age of 50, and Britton is the one who spurred him on to becoming a hunter. John is now an avid hunter, shooter, and soon-to-be owner of a hunting dog. I think you’ll really enjoy these conversations!
